This expression shows that Mako sees Korra as the Avatar, and all the power that comes with it. It’s almost overwhelming.
But then his expression changes, because even though she’s the Avatar and scary powerful, he still sees Korra. Just Korra. [And he always has the cutest expressions for her.]
That’s one of the things I really love about Mako. He sees Korra for who she is...
